EKO

You learn, they learn.

EKO is a social-enterprise concept designed to take education to every corner of the planet — an online learning platform whose profits fund micro-universities in places with no access to schooling.

The model works in two directions. In developed countries, a subscription tele-learning platform offers courses recorded by volunteer teachers. One hundred percent of the profit funds the social project: the “Knowledge Suitcases” — self-contained micro-universities with solar power, satellite internet, a projector and the full course platform, installed in small communities. Each suitcase is maintained by the community itself, so the system can grow sustainably.

EKO was developed as a full business plan (strategy, marketing, operations, HR and financials) by Grupo 13.13 at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2017. I was the team’s spokesperson.
