As an intern in the Cooperation Department at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, I organised project data and built a Carto map to make ETSIT development cooperation final projects easier to browse, understand and communicate.

The Cooperation Department needed a clearer way to show the reach of its development cooperation projects: where the final projects happened, what kind of work students carried out and which universities or local partners were involved.
I cleaned and structured the source spreadsheets, consolidated ETSIT project information, geolocated each record and built the original public viewer in Carto. This current version rebuilds that archived map because the old Carto link is no longer live.
The result was a public-facing visualization and communication asset for ETSIT/UPM: a compact way to explore more than a decade of cooperation work from one place, later connected to the material prepared for a university exhibition about the cooperation group.
Beyond the technical map, the work was about making scattered internal knowledge legible: simplifying the information architecture, reducing noise and giving the department a visual story of its international impact.
The Drive archive also includes the material prepared for the EDETIC/UPM university exhibition: group blocks, project summaries, institution databases and files used to explain the work of the cooperation team.
The rebuilt map is based on the Teleco Drive folder COOPERACION / MAPA, especially the archived cooperacion_etsit_db_drive.csv database and its Google Sheet reference.
The shared Drive folder contains EDETIC – UPM.zip, with the material organised for the first university exhibition about cooperation groups: team, location, work carried out and future action.
The reconstructed public version keeps project-level information only. Private student names, contact names and email fields from the source spreadsheets are intentionally removed from the published data.
This case study has been rebuilt from the archived Teleco/UPM cooperation folders. The original public Carto viewer link is no longer available, so the map has been reconstructed as a static, privacy-cleaned version hosted under victorcordoba.com/webs/upm-cooperation/.
